Host organizations submit a request for an apprentice, specifying the skills and qualifications they are looking for, as well as the workstation, lunch and transport stipend, and supervision they can provide.
We match applicants with available and suitable organizations on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once a match is made, the apprentice begins their work experience with the host organization, supervised by a senior professional in their field.
The host organization provides the necessary support, including a workstation, lunch and transport stipend, and regular supervision and feedback to the apprentice.
The apprenticeship period is usually 3-6 months, after which the apprentice may be offered a job within the host organization or use the experience to find employment elsewhere.
We provide follow-up and mentorship to both the host organisation and the apprentice to ensure that the experience is beneficial to both parties.
"In 2019, I contacted Msingi admin about the possibility of getting a finance and administration graduate trainee and I was very surprised at how quick they responded to me, I filled a questionnaire from Msingi on what our needs were at the time and in no time, Msingi had contacted me about a good fit for Uganda Hands for Hope."
